Working with commercial payers to achieve a single case agreement for patient treatment takes time, resources, and diligent tracking. We take the burden off your staff and provides this service for you.
A Single Case Agreement (SCA) is a contract between an insurance company and an out-of-network provider for a specific patient, so that the patient can obtain services with our client provider using their in-network benefits.
The fee per session/treatment provided that will be paid by the insurance company is negotiated by our team, and is approved by our client provider.
The patient may be required to pay their routine in-network co-pays and any of their in-network deductible not yet met.
The SCA will also spell out the CPT codes authorized and the start and end dates for treatment.
We can also submit a renewal request of the SCA for you when additional continuation of care is required.
Benefits to SCA:
- Patient receives a discount off the out of network rate.
- Patient may not be charged usual and costumery charges.
- Patient can use in-network benefits versus no coverage or limited out of network benefits.
- The facility knows what they will be paid for the services authorized in the SCA.
